What is in place
How the site is built.
The site is plain HTML with no page builder. Every page has one title heading and sections in order, a main landmark, and a declared language, English or Spanish, with a link to its translation. A "skip to content" link appears for keyboard users at the top of every page. Every link, button, and control can be reached and used from the keyboard, with a visible focus ring. The menu button announces whether the menu is open, and the menu closes on Escape.
Every image that carries meaning has a text description; decorative marks are hidden from screen readers. All text colors have been checked against their backgrounds and meet the contrast the standard requires. The site reflows to a phone screen without sideways scrolling, and nothing is conveyed by color alone.
The images on the home page rotate. They pause when a pointer or keyboard focus rests on them, they have a Pause button, and they do not rotate at all for visitors who have asked their device for reduced motion.
Still open
What we are still checking.
The site has passed automated checks and a keyboard walk-through. A full read with a screen reader is still to be done, and this statement will be updated when it is. If you use a screen reader and something reads wrong, your message helps us most.
